Evening Mower Technician

$14/hour starting hourly wage

15-20 hours a week, could grow into more for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair Blueville mowers and other equipment.
    • Blows off mowers
    • Check all fluids and fill accordingly (changing oil when required).
    • Blowout air filter
    • Check all belts, hoses, and visual inspection of equipment for issues.
    • Fix broken equipment that can be fixed
    • Grease All mowers once a week
    • Sharpen mower blades daily
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and compliant with OSHA regulatory guidelines.
    • Check oil and fuel on mower trucks
    • Fill up trucks with fuel and add oil if needed
    • Fill all gas cans with proper fuel (mixed or regular gas).
  • Maintains tools, and keep shop area clean
  • Locks up buildings
    • Check key board for missing truck keys.
    • Check and lock all buildings 
  • Assists with other tasks as needed.

Education/ Experience

High school Diploma or GED

Previous vehicle and equipment maintenance experience

Ability to diagnose equipment problems

1-2 years’ experience with small engine repair.

Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to operate all company vehicles, machinery and equipment
  • Basic computer & diagnostic skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • 2 stroke engine knowledge
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of tools and their functions
  • Safety function knowledge
